Why We Started — And Why It Still Matters
John Sullivan grew up in a Newark row house on Ferry Street — the kind of home where you could feel the wind through the walls in January and the attic turned into an oven every August. His family, like so many Newark families, paid sky-high heating and cooling bills every year.
After 8 years working as a spray foam technician for a larger NJ contractor, John realized something: the companies doing the best work weren't serving Newark. They were focused on wealthier suburbs, leaving Newark homeowners with outdated insulation and no affordable options.
In 2008, John founded Spray Foam Insulation Newark NJ with one truck, two technicians, and a simple mission: bring professional, affordable spray foam insulation to the Newark community.
